The Candover opens its doors

Finchatton’s first venture into hospitality is officially open. 

What began with Andrew’s acquisition of the historic Purefoy Arms has become The Candover - a beautifully restored country pub with ten elegant rooms. 

To keep the village pub at the heart of the community, while also creating a welcoming destination for visitors, The Candover pairs timeless interiors and thoughtful hospitality with a menu focused on exceptional seasonal produce.

We’ve had a wonderful opening week welcoming guests for long lunches on the terrace, relaxed suppers by the fire, and luxurious yet homely escapes from everyday life.
